Introduction to Schedulosophy

Welcome to Schedulosophy.

The Critical Path Method had its origins about 1940 at DuPont. CPM was virtually unknown for its first twenty years. Its use became much more widespread after the advent of computers, although it remained a manual affair for many practitioners through most of the 1980s. Desktop computing led to a succession of increasingly capable CPM programs. Yet, on the eve of CPM's seventieth birthday, an examination of schedules suggests that development of scheduling skill has not kept pace with the availability of tools or requirements of customers.

Schedulosophy is devoted to schedulers and the development of scheduling skill.

Thank you for visiting Schedulosophy.
